THE MASK FROM HOME / Narrative

The first day of school in a new city is hard for any 13 year old, but April has newly immigrated from China with her mother. Disconnected from the world she’s known, a mask from China connects her to her home.

The film is an Official Selection to the San Diego Asian Film Festival 2019, Manhattan International Film Festival, and Seattle Asian American Film Festival, and it is currently being submitted to other festivals.

Presented by Panorama Film Acadame, a film program for young and inspiring students to learn about the industry through mentorship and practice.
